- Your privacy is of utmost importance.   

- Any information shared during our sessions will remain strictly confidential.   

- No personal details, recordings, or notes will be shared with third parties unless legally required (e.g., threats of harm or criminal activity).    


3. Code of Conduct 

-To ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience.  

- **Mutual respect** is expected at all times. Inappropriate language, behavior, or advances will not be tolerated.   

- Both parties have the right to terminate the session if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.    


4. Boundaries 

- Clear boundaries are essential to this service:   

- Physical contact, such as hugs or handshakes, is optional and must be mutually agreed upon beforehand.   

- Romantic or intimate interactions are strictly prohibited.   

- This service is strictly for companionship and conversation in public or virtual settings.  


5. Location and Safety 

- Sessions must occur in **public spaces** or online for the safety of both parties.   

- Private residences or secluded locations are not permitted for in-person sessions.   

- For online sessions, a secure and agreed-upon platform will be used.    


6. Booking and Cancellations 

- All sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.   

- Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the session. Late cancellations may incur a fee.   

- Payment is required in advance to confirm the booking.    


7. Refund Policy 

- Refunds will only be issued if I need to cancel a session or if technical issues prevent a scheduled session.   

- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made by the client less than 12 hours before the session.    


8. Safety Measures 

- In-person sessions will only occur in well-lit, public areas such as cafes, parks, or other agreed-upon safe locations.   

- I reserve the right to bring a colleague or notify someone of the session's location for safety reasons.    


9. Disclaimer 

- This service is intended for companionship and active listening. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, legal advice, or medical services.   

- If you require professional assistance, I encourage you to seek help from licensed experts.    


10. Termination of Service 

- I reserve the right to terminate the session or discontinue the service at any time if:   

- The behavior or requests made by the client are inappropriate or unsafe.   

- The session exceeds the agreed-upon scope of the service. 


11. Legal Compliance and Liability Waiver

- This service is operated in compliance with Vietnamese laws.

- I am not liable for any decisions, actions, or consequences resulting from conversations held during the sessions.

- The client agrees not to hold [Need a Friend] responsible for any emotional, psychological, or financial decisions they make based on the session.

- Any disputes or legal claims arising from this service shall be resolved in accordance with Vietnamese laws.


12. Age Restriction Policy

- This service is only available to individuals 18 years and older.

- If a minor (under 18) wishes to use this service, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required.


13. Data Protection & Record-Keeping Policy 

- No conversations will be recorded unless both parties agree in writing.

- Personal details such as phone numbers, emails, and messages will not be shared with third parties.

- Clients should avoid sharing sensitive or financial information during the session.

- If any legal dispute or safety concern arises, session details may be documented for legal purposes.


14. Harassment & Misuse Policy 

- If a client exhibits harassment, stalking, or abusive behavior, I reserve the right to immediately block and report them.

- Repeated violations may result in a permanent ban from using this service.

- Any threats or illegal activities will be reported to the authorities.


15. Force Majeure (Unexpected Circumstances) 

- I am not responsible for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond my control, such as:

- Natural disasters, power outages, or internet failures.

- Health emergencies or government-imposed restrictions (e.g., pandemic lockdowns).

- If a session is affected by force majeure, clients will be offered rescheduling rather than refunds.


16. Payment & Tax Compliance Policy

- Payments must be made before the session starts.

- Invoices/receipts will be issued upon request.

- Clients are responsible for any bank fees or currency exchange charges when making payments.

- I comply with Vietnamese tax regulations, and clients must ensure their payments are made through legal channels.


17. Impersonation & Identity Verification Policy
- Clients must use their real identity when booking and attending sessions.

- Impersonating another person or using fake information is strictly prohibited and may result in termination and reporting to authorities.


18. Third-Party Involvement Prohibition

- Sessions are strictly one-on-one.

- No third party (e.g., friends, family, or media) may join, record, or observe the session unless mutually agreed in writing in advance.


19. Media & Public Disclosure Policy

- Clients are prohibited from recording or sharing session content (audio, video, screenshots) publicly or with media without written consent.

- Legal action may be pursued for violations that defame or endanger Need a Friend or its staff.


20. Intellectual Property Policy

- All written, visual, and digital content created by Need a Friend is protected under intellectual property laws.

- Clients may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content (e.g., blog posts, session format, branding) without permission.


21. Fraud & Payment Abuse Policy

- Using stolen credit cards or unauthorized payment methods will result in immediate suspension and legal reporting.

- Suspicious transactions will be investigated, and sessions will be paused until verified.


22. Session Recording Consent Clause (Expanded)

- If a session is recorded (with mutual consent), it will be stored securely for a maximum of 7 days and only for dispute resolution or legal evidence.

- Clients will have the right to request access or deletion within this timeframe.


23. Staff Code of Ethics

- All staff and collaborators of Need a Friend must:

- Maintain neutrality and avoid giving opinions that may influence the client’s personal decisions.

- Not engage in any form of dual relationships (e.g., business offers, personal relationships with clients).

- Report any misconduct or conflict of interest internally immediately.

2. Respectful & Judgment-Free Environment

- You have the right to express yourself freely without fear of being judged.

- We promote a safe and inclusive space for all clients, regardless of gender, race, background, or personal experiences.

- If you feel uncomfortable during a session, you have the right to pause or end it immediately without providing a reason.

- Disrespectful, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior from any listener will not be tolerated.


3. Right to Boundaries & Protection from Exploitation

- You decide what to share—you are never required to discuss topics that make you uncomfortable.

- Physical contact (for in-person sessions) is strictly optional and must be mutually agreed upon beforehand.

- All interactions remain professional and platonic—any violation of this will result in immediate termination of the session.

- Any attempt to exploit or manipulate a client will result in a permanent ban for the listener and legal action if necessary.


4. Transparency in Fees & Services

- Service fees are always communicated upfront, with no hidden charges.

- If you are dissatisfied within the first 15 minutes, you can request a partial refund (as per our refund policy).

- You can cancel or reschedule sessions within the allowed timeframe without penalties.

- We do not pressure customers into additional purchases or extended sessions.


5. Customer Complaints & Dispute Resolution

- If you experience any misconduct, you can file a formal complaint.

- Complaints will be reviewed within 48 hours, and necessary actions will be taken.

- If you feel uncomfortable with a specific listener, you can request a new match.

- False claims or abusive complaints made in bad faith will not be entertained.


6. No Psychological Manipulation or False Promises

- Our listeners provide emotional support, not therapy.

- No psychological techniques will be used to manipulate, influence, or pressure clients.

- We are upfront about the service scope—this is a listening service, not a substitute for professional mental health care.

- We do not offer solutions, diagnoses, or guaranteed emotional outcomes.


7. Emergency & Crisis Support Policy

- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, we encourage you to seek professional help immediately.

- For urgent safety concerns, you should contact local emergency services or crisis hotlines.

- If you mention self-harm or harm to others, we may be legally required to notify appropriate authorities.

- Need a Friend is not an emergency service. If you need immediate help, please contact a licensed mental health professional.


8. Right to Opt-Out & Account Control

- You can discontinue the service at any time without penalties.

- You can unsubscribe from updates or notifications easily if you no longer wish to receive messages.

- We do not pressure clients into returning if they decide to stop using the service.
